POCO X5 5G Indonesia Price Starts at IDR 3,499,000, Now Available!

POCO - a subsidiary smartphone brand of Xiaomi - has unveiled its latest offering, the POCO X5 5G, in Indonesia. This new handset model is equipped with features that cater to the needs of mobile gamers and is priced affordably, putting it well within the midrange market segment.

The POCO X5 5G is the successor to the POCO X3 NFC and boasts an AMOLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as up to 13 GB of RAM, which can be expanded with virtual RAM.

According to Mr. Andi Renreng, POCO Indonesia's Head of Marketing, the POCO X5 5G is being marketed as a strong contender in the mid-range market.

The POCO X5 5G features a 6.67-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels or FullHD+. In addition to a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, the smartphone's screen can reach a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, making it easy to view even in bright sunlight. Moreover, the POCO X5 5G's display has passed the SGS Eye Care Display and Seamless Pro tests.

Under the hood, the POCO X5 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset and LPDDR4X RAM, which ranges from 6GB to 8GB. Furthermore, POCO has included Dynamic RAM Expansion 3.0 technology, which allows for up to 5GB of virtual RAM to be added (increasing the total RAM capacity from 8GB to 13GB). "Dynamic RAM Expansion makes multitasking a breeze," noted Mr. Renreng.

In addition to generous RAM capacity, the POCO X5 5G also offers up to 256GB of internal storage. For users who require more storage, the smartphone's price of IDR 3 million provides an option for UFS 2.2 memory expansion via a microSD card of up to 1TB, which can be accessed through the SIM card slot.

Regarding photography, the POCO X5 5G comes equipped with three rear cameras, including a 48MP primary camera and two 8MP cameras. Additionally, there is a 13MP front camera for selfie needs.

The POCO X5 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. The smartphone also features a 3.5mm audio jack that supports Hi-Res, allowing users to use wired headsets.

Another noteworthy feature of the POCO X5 5G is its IP53 certification, which means it has some level of resistance against dust and water ingress. Like its predecessor, the handset's biometric security features include AI Face Unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the Power button. In addition, the device comes with NFC and IR Blaster functionalities.

The POCO X5 5G is available in Black, Green, and Blue colors and measures 7.98mm in thickness and weighs 189 grams. "The POCO X5 5G is incredibly lightweight and slim, making it perfect for everyday use," Andi noted.

The POCO X5 5G is set to be released for sale in Indonesia on February 24, 2023, and can be purchased at Poco.co.id, Shopee, Erafone, Xiaomi Store Authorized Resellers, and Xiaomi Shop Authorized Resellers.

From February 24 to March 3, 2023, the POCO X5 5G will be sold at a reduced introductory price online in Indonesia. The regular prices of the smartphone are as follows:

8GB/256GB: IDR 3,999,000

However, during the introductory period, the prices will be discounted as follows:
